Since bursting into the public consciousness in March 2021, mentions of the "metaverse" are increasing on CNBC and Bloomberg, but Fox News has largely pivoted away from the topic. General news channels CNN, MSNBC and Fox News have barely covered the topic, mentioning it just a few dozen times each.

Fox News is a noticeable outlier, mentioning the metaverse half as much as Bloomberg and a quarter as much as CNBC.
