Retired Lieutenant-General Evgeny Buzhinsky, Chair of the PIR Center and from 2002–2009 Head of the International Treaty Directorate, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate for International Military Cooperation of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, appeared on Channel 1 earlier this week to state his opposition to attacking Polish or other NATO depots shipping weapons to Ukraine and any Russian first use of tactical nuclear weapons – opining that using nuclear weapons in theater will inevitably lead to global destruction.
