As continue to make performance enhancements to the Visual Explorer to prepare it for the release of our Russian and Ukrainian automated transcriptions and the addition to the Visual Explorer Historical Archive, we've updated the inventory interface to lazy load broadcast thumbnails. The calendar interface should now load noticeably faster, with thumbnail images loading on-demand as you scroll or jump through the page, though you may experience a small lag at times since thumbnail images are loaded directly from the Internet Archive's website rather than via GDELT's global edge cached CDN.
