Television News Is Ramping Up Mentions Of Dreaded "Stagflation"

Fox News began mentioning dreaded "stagflation" in April 2021 and has maintained continually increasing coverage of it in the year since. CNN and MSNBC don't first begin mentioning it until November of last year, but have ramped up coverage over the last few months. While higher than they have been in the past decade, however, mentions are still just a dozen to two dozen a month, suggesting the topic is receiving only a small amount of attention.

In contrast, business channels Bloomberg, CNBC and Fox Business began ramping up coverage from May of last year, peaking in October 2021, but have maintained elevated levels of 5o to 100 mentions a month.
