The timeline below shows worldwide online news coverage mentions of “(unemployment OR unemployed OR "job loss" OR "job losses" OR "lost job")” as monitored by the GDELT Project. Mentions of unemployment began trending up from the start of March, but it was starting March 16 that it surged to global prominence, peaking March 26 and decreasing steadily since. Over the last two weeks coverage has begun to noticeably decline.
