There are more than 11,000 unique objects and activities in the Visual Global Entity Graph 2.0's more than 470 million visual annotations created from having Google's Cloud Video API watch a decade of television evening news broadcasts. Among these entities are a number of animal-related labels such as dog breeds: one such label is "golden retriever".

Could we simply search across the 470 million Cloud Video API annotations in the Visual Global Entity Graph to find all of the footage of golden retrievers?

The answer is yes! The image at the top of this post shows a small sample of the kinds of images returned. Between the Cloud Video API and BigQuery we have created what amounts to a Global Golden Retriever Detector for Television News!
