We're excited to announce that our TTXT captioning mode annotation files are now being continually updated for all captioned broadcasts archive-wide! Previously we only extracted captioning mode information for a small subset of channels as an experiment. Our new TV News 5.0 workflow identifies all broadcasts archive-wide that claim to contain any form of embedded captioning information and runs the source MPEG2 stream through a ccextract workflow to extract complete captioning mode information for all broadcasts. This opens the door to some very exciting forthcoming enhancements to the new TV News Explorer!
