In collaboration with the Internet Archive, we continue to explore how the Visual Explorer's unique visual interface metaphor of "skimmable video" can make various kinds of moving image content more accessible to journalists and scholars. Towards this end, we have added a small collection of US War Department films from World War II skimmable via the Visual Explorer's interface to examine how the visual narratives of historical video can be made more readily understandable by researchers:
