Translating Our Daily Media Trends Reports Into Keyword Searches To Seed Journalist & Scholarly Inquiry

With the relaunch of the Television News Explorer, it is now possible to keyword search an ever-growing subset of the Internet Archive's TV News Archive. When searching at this scale, journalists and scholars can often confront either decision paralysis (what should I search for) or know the topic they want to search for, but aren't certain what keywords would best capture the majority of relevant coverage. How might we ask Gemini to read through our daily Media Trends reports and come up with a recommended list of potential keyword searches that we could prepopulate the search box with to seed users with interesting and highly relevant and timely searches? Remember that Gemini has no access to the actual broadcasts themselves – a key part of what we're asking it to do here is to read our Media Trends reports, identify major stories, narratives and trends and think of what kinds of keywords and phrases coverage on that channel would likely use and craft a minimal list of search keywords. No data was used to train or tune any model and we used only our own Media Trends PDF reports, not the actual broadcasts themselves.

Attached is a compilation of deep trend analysis reports of a day of selected television news channels around the world.
Read through all of these reports and make a bulleted list by channel that opens with a few sentences describing
the major trends of the day of that channel's coverage and then a comma-separated list of 5-10 search keywords/phrases
ranked in order of importance/significance to the day's coverage that will surface the major stories/developments/trends of the day
when used to search the broadcast transcripts of the day's coverage. Phrases must be 4 words or shorter.
Remember that the keywords will be literally keyword searched over the day's transcripts so must match actual
words and phrases that would appear in the relevant coverage.
