One of the more fascinating ways in which Russian television news is framing the invasion of Ukraine for its domestic audience is the way in which it is counter-framing, rather than silencing information. For example, rather than silence discussion of Bucha and other atrocities, they are framed as disinformation falsehoods created by the West. The animated GIF below shows the opening sequence of one of these efforts, the "Antifake" show on Russia1 that casts itself as an effort to inform and protect the Russian public from such disinformation efforts.
