As GDELT Summary has grown from a pilot experiment into a heavily used production research service, we've heard from many of you that the lengthy URLs it produces are cumbersome to share. As of this morning GDELT Summary now uses an optimized URL format that results in much shorter and more compact URLs that are more amenable to sharing. All existing GDELT Summary query URLs will be seamlessly automatically rewritten into the new format, so you don't need to update your historical queries.
