The phrase "law and order" became a hallmark of Donald Trump's presidency, first appearing on television news in a meaningful way in July 2016 and becoming a fixture of coverage from the end of May 2020 through just before the November 2020 election. Since the election it had all but disappeared until the storming of the capitol, in which Fox News has brought it back, while CNN and MSNBC have barely mentioned it.
In all, since the start of 2020, Fox has mentioned it 3,496 times, MSNBC 1,813 times and CNN 1,475 times.
