This past September the research staff in Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA)’s Cross-Country Emerging Markets Unit (BBVA is the second-largest bank in Spain) produced a series of captivating country risk visualizations of the world using GDELT for their Country Risk Quarterly Report for Q3 2014, which they updated in December 2014 for their Geo World Report.
BBVA released their latest report yesterday, their "BBVA Geo World Conflict & Social Unrest April 2015 Update". They have an interactive CartoDB map showing areas of increasing and decreasing geopolitical stability risk and a number of temporal visualizations showing conflict and stability trends, along with a detailed summary of major observed global trends.
