An Entire Generation Can No Longer Imagine Images Without Hashtags

Social media is creating a textually-mediated understanding of imagery in which younger generations are increasingly no longer able to conceptualize the idea of an image standing by itself, frames as anything more than wall hangers or that imagery and especially color imagery was ever something rare.
