In 2020 and 2021 we collaborated with First Draft to examine how television news coverage amplified then-President Donald trump's tweets, allowing him to drive news cycle by tweet. It is fascinating to look at how social media posts have appeared on television news around the world over the years and how they are contextualized in the news cycle.
