Twitter's permanent ban of @realDonaldTrump was supposed to bring to a close Donald Trump's Twitter-fueled media stardom in which he was able to shape the daily media agenda simply by tweeting. While it has had a noticeable impact on reducing the visibility of his tweets on television news, the graph below shows the total seconds of airtime from January 9, 2021 through February 8, 2021 that his social media handle was displayed onair, typically in the form of one of his tweets being rebroadcast. Fox News is the clear leader, but combined across the three channels, his tweets have been shown across 98 minutes of airtime since his ban, showing that even a month after his exile his tweets are still highly visible on television news.
