We're incredibly excited to announce that as of early this afternoon the GDELT Visual Global Knowledge Graph (VGKG) has reached 84 million images processed through Google's deep learning Cloud Vision API. This makes the collection to our knowledge the largest publicly available dataset of deep learning algorithms applied to global news imagery, offering an incredible lens through which to explore the world's visual narratives.
